Watch Video: Peggy – This Love (Na Halele) [Audio + Lyrics]

Nigerian-American worship leader Peggy is taking her mission to sanitize love songs very seriously. She recently released a 5-track EP of pure romantic songs and now she’s following that up with a music video off the same project.

When asked what inspired this journey, this is what she has to say, “Growing up as a church choir girl…it was almost a taboo to talk about love songs openly, even as a grown church going woman, it only seemed acceptable in the privacy of our confines to sing or listen to love songs. To me Love lyrics are words of affirmation and words of affection that should be part of our everyday lives.”

Lyrics:
They say I too smile o

But what is making me happy

They say I too shout o
Say my head dey for cloud
But what is making me happy
Is your love my baby

This kind love na helele

E dey make me wanna rumble
Rumble rumble baby
Oh na helele

From the day I first met you
Everything has changed
It’s like living my life is colors
From black and white
Nothings been the same
My life is now brand new
Won’t trade it for nothing
O na so mu so

They say I too smile o
they say I too laugh o
But what is making me happy
is your love my baby

They say I too shout o
Say my head dey for cloud
But what is making me happy
Is your love my baby

This kind love na helele
Oh na helele
E dey make me wanna rumble
Rumble rumble baby
